3163054 3165093 Alternative Cummins Medium and Light Duty Camshaft Gear Remover Installer Tool Kit
This tool kit will remove and install camshaft gears in various medium and light duty engines. Some light duty engines don't have threads in the end of the camshaft and will require more traditional methods of installation. Please thoroughly read the service instructions before removing the cam gear. Failure to follow these instructions could result in damage to the engine components or the tool.
3163054 Tool will remove and install the camshaft gears on the B and C Series engines.
3163054 3165093 Tools combined will remove and install the camshaft gears on ISB (W/ threaded camshaft snout), ISC, QSC8.3, ISL and QSL9.
For Cummins medium duty engines like ISC and ISL (W/ non-threaded camshaft snout) and RAM light Duty ISB 6.7L engines, this tool kit will only remove the camshaft gear with the camshaft partially pulled, exposing the first two lobes. These tools will NOT install the camshaft gear. Please refer to the provided instructions for installation.
Cummins ISC and ISL medium duty engines will require one of either 3165086 or 3165088 tappet holding tool kit.
Cummins medium duty ISB 6.7L engines will require one of the following: 8502 A, 3822513
RAM light duty ISB 6.7L 2019 - 2026 engines will require tool 2065000090
