The flywheel must be held in order to service the balancer and flywheel bolts. The torque required for the balancer bolt is 150 lb-ft + 180 degrees, and holding the flywheel and crankshaft is critical to reaching this specification. Current LGE family flywheel holder EN-50792 does not fit the block and starter configuration used in ATS, Camaro, and CT6 with LD4, LTG, LKW, or LCV engines, EN-51760 installs in place of the starter, and engages the flywheel ring gear teeth to hold the flywheel and crankshaft for service. Unapproved methods may result in incorrect fastener tightening or flywheel damage.
