This tool is hand operated. It cuts the counterbore by turning the head with a 1/2" drive ratchet and applying downward pressure to the cutter head. The provided shims and stop collar will ensure that you get to the desired depth without removing excess material. The stop collar allows you to move the tool to cut multiple cylinders without adjusting the tool depth.
